Terms & Conditions
1) Agreement
By purchasing or using a ticket, you agree to these Terms, our Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy. If you are purchasing on behalf of a minor and/or other family member, you accept these on their behalf.
2) Tickets & Entry
Ticket confirmation will delivered by email; bring the confirmation email to enter, or you may provide the name and email under which the tickets where purchased at the door.
3) No Refunds / Transfers
All sales are final (see Refund Policy), however, at check in, we will only have the purchaser’s name and the number of tickets purchased, so the people you bring can change, but the amount cannot be changed. You will be able to purchase additional tickets at the door if necessary, and if we are not sold out. However the price may be higher.
4) Program Changes
Speakers, vendors, schedule, and activities are subject to change. Changes do not create a right to a refund.
5) Cancellation & Force Majeure
If the event is canceled in full, we will reschedule or offer credit to a future event (see Refund Policy). We are not liable for delays or changes due to events beyond our control (e.g., severe weather, utility failures, labor disputes, government orders, public health advisories, “acts of God”).
6) Code of Conduct
We aim for a family-friendly, welcoming environment. We may deny or revoke admission for unsafe, disruptive, or harassing behavior without compensation. Follow venue rules and staff directions.
7) Accessibility & Accommodations
We strive to make the event accessible.
8) Photography, Video, and Media
We photograph and record the event for documentation and promotion. By attending, you are giving consent for you and those in your group to be photographed or recorded for these purposes. You may take personal photos, but commercial recording requires written permission.
9) Risk & Liability
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This does not limit liability for willful misconduct or where prohibited by law.
10) Age / Guardians
Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. You confirm you are 18+ or a guardian completing the purchase.
11) Prohibited Items
Weapons & firearms, illegal substances, hazardous materials, and items barred by the venue are prohibited. We may conduct bag checks.
12) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, without regard to conflicts principles. Venue for disputes is El Paso, Colorado.
Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final. No refunds.
1) No Refunds/Transfers
Purchases are non-refundable, including for no-shows, schedule conflicts, or partial attendance. At check in, we will only have the purchaser’s name and the number of tickets purchased, so the people the purchaser brings can change, but the amount of people cannot be changed. You may buy more tickets online or will be able to purchase additional tickets at the door if necessary if we are not sold out. However the price may be higher at the door.

Processing, platform, and service fees are non-refundable.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

2) Data We Collect
- You provide: name, email, phone (optional), ticket counts, and consent selections.
- Payment: Processed by Stripe or PayPal. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical: IP address, device/browser info, and cookies essential to operate the site and prevent fraud.
3) How We Use Data
- Transactional: process orders, deliver tickets/receipts, provide essential event updates and support.
- Safety & compliance: verify identity, prevent fraud/abuse, comply with legal obligations.
- Marketing: we send news, discounts, and future event info. You can unsubscribe anytime.
- SMS (optional): we may text you (only if you opt in); reply STOP to opt out.
4) Sharing & Processors
We share data with service providers that help us operate the event/site, including:
- Stripe & PayPal (payments), Mailchimp (email delivery/marketing), WordPress/Forminator (forms), hosting/CDN (site delivery), and similar vendors.
They process data under our instructions and may be located in the U.S. or other countries.
We do not sell your personal information.
5) Retention
- Orders: kept for tax, accounting, and chargeback defense
- Marketing contacts: kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- We may keep minimal records to honor future opt-out requests.
6) Your Choices & Rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing via any email footer.
- Request access, correction, or deletion at BookFest@WIDGE.ink (subject to legal retention).
- If you’re in certain jurisdictions (e.g., EU/UK/CA/VA/CO), you may have additional rights under local laws.
7) Cookies
We use essential cookies for sessions, security, and payments. If we add analytics/advertising cookies, we’ll show a banner and respect your choices.
8) Children
The site is not directed to children under 13. Purchases must be made by adults/guardians.
9) Changes
We may update this policy and will post the “Last updated” date above.
